Without parity there is no democracy!
Chile will be the first country in the world that will have a completely equal Magna Charta: women should have a percentage between 45 and 55% of the 155 members of the Constitutional Meeting.
The Constitutional Meeting is that agency whose goal is to write down the Magna Charta that will replace the current one, written under the military Dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet.
However, the presence of women in the constitutional process will be a way to improve democracy, especially in a country where 51% of the population are women.
The next Constitution owes a lot to women who have struggled for its realization, starting from the feminine riots of october 2019 until the creation of the feminist group Las Tesis, who have been placed between the 100 most influent realities of 2020 by Time magazine.
